One of my favorite people just sent me the mp3 for “You Trip Me Up” by The Jesus & Mary Chain. This was in the e-mail response:

Wow! As I was listening, this one part kept reminding me of some other little note sequence I had heard before. Sure enough, it’s in “Just Like Honey,” the lyrics “I’ll be your plastic toy” is sung in the same way as the line before each “you trip me up” (“I couldn’t even walk,” “and you spit on my head,” etc.). I really like this sound. I should download some more.  Have you heard the whole Lost in Translation soundtrack? The whole thing sounds like this, it’s so nice.
