this evening’s oddities
an evening of surfing reveals some web gems.
While sitting around the office this evening I did a fair amount of a) catching up on stuff I haven’t read and b) surfing random websites. Here are a few of the highlights:
rat decathalon
While screwing around with Google webmaster tools I came to realize my website is the sixth result in Google for the search term “rat decathalon” (yes, I do realize that’s the incorrect spelling).
This comes from istockphoto and I can’t quite figure out what she’s up to. It looks like she’s making some bread, but there’s something odd going down . . .
how does your name google
For a while I’ve been joking that in the future people are going to name their kids based on domain name availability. The idea in part came from Steven Johnson, who asked for links to a page with his newborn son’s name (Dean) in lieu of presents. Anyway, a few weeks ago the Wall Street Journal wrote a whole article on it.
alf
Last, but certainly not least, comes one of my favorite ALF moments of all time.

it may be time for puppets to take back prime time.
and i didn’t even include a nod to 4:03 in this muppet family christmas video
haha…I actually had an ALF doll/toy!
