I stopped by the Reason office in the E. Village on Wednesday after class. I had a chat with the guys about their workday, tried to help them exterminate a rat in their backyard and checked out their new line of products to launch next season. That may not sound like such a big deal to you, but maybe that’s because I didn’t mention these guys are only 21 years old! They even have a squad of high school interns down to work for them without bitching. And when I spoke with the intern, he told me it was the “coolest internship ever”. I think impressive is an understatement, and they are not the only group of young entrepreneurs in the fashion business opening up their own studios and workspaces today. PegLeg (23 year olds), another NYC based fashion line just invested in office space on Broadway below Canal. So much for that makeshift office in the bedroom, young people today are moving up fast!
